Angelina watched her friends dance onto the stage. She crossed her fingers and hoped they wouldn’t make any mistakes! She could see that they were all trying very hard.

When Alice forgot a few steps and Flora tripped on her ball gown, they didn’t stop. They just kept on dancing. Then Henry danced offstage the wrong way, and Angelina was really worried, but he was such a funny little coachman that the audience clapped and cheered.

When it was time for the fairy godmother to arrive, Angelina flew across the stage and danced next to Flora. Although she wanted to do her best, Angelina couldn’t help feeling jealous, and she forgot she was supposed to throw fairy dust in the air.

After the performance, Miss Lilly came backstage to congratulate everyone. “All dancers make mistakes sometimes,” she said, “but the most important thing is to keep on dancing. Well done, my little mouselings!”

All the little dancers cheered. “Hooray for us!” shouted Henry, jumping up and down.

They had done their first real performance of Mouserella, and Miss Lilly was proud of them!
